- Allergy Services
-
An allergy is an immune system mediated reaction to an allergen
that occurs in allergy prone individuals. These allergens are harmless to
most people but can set off multiple symptoms in an allergic individual. For
a person to be allergic, there is a genetic acquired sensitivity and a
recurrent exposure to the offending substance.

Medications and environmental control measures are usually the first
step for allergy treatment. There are numerous non-sedating antihistamines
available, along with other medications that the doctors can prescribe to
control allergy symptoms.
These medications, along with strict environmental control measures, can
usually bring relief to most patients suffering from allergies. Allergy
shots are always an option for the more complicated allergy patients. The
serum for the shots is mixed based on the results of your allergy test. In
this way, the specific needs of every allergy patient is achieved.
Our highly qualified Allergy Department consists of Syrena Hutchinson, LPN

- Assistive Listening Devices
-
Assistive listening devices (ALDS) can be utilized to help in
difficult listening situations such as hearing in noise, watching
television, talking on the telephone, going to a play, listening in church
or even hearing in a courtroom.
ALDS help to make the sound source that is trying to be heard louder
than ambient and background noise.
